Video Editor (AI Friendly) – Contract Position

This is an independent contractor position, typically beginning with a one to three month contract engagement. Estimated 5 to 10 hours per week, but may vary.

Location

Los Angeles, CA, or New York, NY

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, up-and-coming Video Editor who’s curious about the future of content creation and eager to work with AI video tools. You don’t need to be an expert yet—but if you're excited about learning how AI can supercharge creativity, you might be our person.

This is an independent contractor role, but with the potential to grow. You'll be embedded in our creative and marketing team, working across short-form content that spans TikTok, Instagram and paid ads.

The ideal candidate can occasionally work from our office in Los Angeles (City of Commerce) or in New York City (Flatiron District of Manhattan) in a hybrid format so we may all efficiently collaborate.

About Us

Join a dynamic and innovative venture-backed company at the intersection of fashion, technology, and customer experience. ViaVia Corporation is home to BNTO, an AI-powered “omni-retail” subscription platform that personalizes your fashion experience with a fresh approach to new purchases, rentals, and resales. Powered by ALMA.AI, our proprietary full-stack vertical AI solution, BNTO redefines fashion with tech-first infrastructure and culture-shaping storytelling. We’re a Series A company backed by industry-leading investors including Notable Capital, Basis Set Ventures, NEA, the AI Fund, and Exor.

Your Duties & Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ideate and storyboard short-form video content
  • Edit engaging, fast-paced brand videos for organic social and paid campaigns
  • Work within existing brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries
  • Stay ahead of trends in video, editing styles, and emerging platforms
  • Organize and maintain video assets and ensure quick turnarounds
  • Learn and experiment with AI tools that support or enhance video production

Your Experience and Skills include:

  • 1+ year experience in video editing preferred. Major bonus points for experience in utilizing AI as part of your editing work.
  • A natural visual storyteller with a sharp eye for editing, pacing, and rhythm
  • Excited about the intersection of creativity and technology (especially AI)
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or CapCut (or similar tools)
  • Familiar with social platforms and what performs well across them
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where priorities may quickly shift.
  • You operate with low ego – you’re great at receiving and adjusting your work based on feedback.
  • Bonus: You’ve dabbled in shooting video on iPhone or DSLR
  • With your application, please include a link to your portfolio.

Compensation:

  • The pay rate is $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, with the upper end of the range being reserved for candidates with greater experience. Final pay rate will be determined by relevant factors such as professional experience and skill sets.
